>> for me, function is always more important and it should drive how the product looks. the product should express what it does. i don't like those black boxes that none of us know what they do. if you can show the technology through the form in some way.
>> let's walk over to what we're discussing this morning. this is called the air blade tap. is that correct?
>> it is. it is. the secret to it is this wonderful motor we've developed. it's three times faster than any other motor. it gives us the power to push air out at 420 miles an hour out of that very narrow slot there.
>> i'll get to that in a second. before you do something, you need to solve a problem. guys like me and other people, we're afraid of germs. we don't want to go into the bathroom and touch the sink after we've used the commode.
>> or the tap. this is an automatic tap.

>> in 14 seconds. absolutely dry. the clever thing about it, it scrapes the water off your hands like a windshield wiper. and the area around your nails. when you get a paper towel you don't get between every finger and you don't clean around your nail nails. well, most people don't.

>> that's a very good idea.
>> you didn't think about that? the other thing, what about cost? are communities going to be able to afford to put these in public restrooms?
>> absolutely.

>> we have mibsed hi ee eed mixed hygienic hand drying and one of these equals the cost of 15,000 towels, the cost to run. it's not expensive. very low cost to run.
>> you still need the towels because you have to open the doorknob to get out of the bathroom.
