Down ticket campaign finance reports : Bluegrass Politics

FRANKFORT ? Wednesday was the deadline for candidates seeking one of Kentucky?s constitutional offices to file campaign-finance reports with the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance.

The 32-day pre-election report is the public?s first peak into fund-raising by the candidates since the May primary. All of the state?s top offices are on the ballot Nov. 8.

Here are some of the early reports:

  • Republican Bill Johnson, a Todd County businessman who is running for Secretary of State, has raised $62,451 this quarter and has $42,581 on hand heading into the Nov. 8 general election.
  • Democratic auditor candidate Adam Edelen reported raising $642,130 this quarter and has $540,805 left to spend in the coming weeks.
  • Bob Farmer, a Louisville Democrat running for commissioner of agriculture, raised $112, 288 this quarter and has $95, 581 cash on hand.
